The tracking device led the Carabinieri into a private courtyard.

A cutting-edge technological system allowed the Carabinieri to track a Ducati Multistrada V4 stolen last June: an AirTag, connected to the vehicle, reported its exact location to the officers at the Mogliano Veneto and Zero Branco stations.

The Discovery
The incident began in the late afternoon of June 26, when a Turin resident who had been the victim of the theft contacted 112, indicating that he had located his motorcycle using the AirTag locator. Law enforcement immediately headed to Via Ruffini, where the device identified the vehicle hidden under a tarp on a trailer, inside the property of a residential building.

The perpetrator has been charged.
The 36-year-old Moldovan man found in possession of the vehicle was charged with receiving stolen goods. The Ducati was seized and placed at the disposal of the competent authorities, pending its return to its rightful owner. This case demonstrates the effectiveness of AirTag tracking in combating predatory crimes and is a success story similar to those recorded in other provinces, such as Padua and Verona, where GPS and trackers have enabled the recovery of stolen goods and the arrest of receivers.
